Free Printable Christmas Binder Covers & Spines
A beautiful place to gather the recipes, plans, traditions and little things that make Christmas feel like Christmas.
Christmas has a wonderful way of accumulating little pieces of paper.
There are recipes we make every year, gift lists scribbled in notebooks, menus we’re planning, traditions we don’t want to forget, Christmas films everyone wants to watch, ideas torn from magazines, little notes about presents, favourite bakes and memories we want to keep.
Our Christmas Companion Binder Covers & Spines were created to give all of those things a beautiful home.
This completely free printable set includes a coordinating A4 front cover, back cover and three binder spine sizes, designed to turn a simple ring binder into your own Christmas Companion.
The artwork reflects the quieter, nostalgic Christmas style we’ve been creating here at Our Little House in the Country — warm cream, deep evergreen, muted cranberry, winter greenery, berries, candlelight, old books and glimpses of a country Christmas beyond the window.
Fill your binder with our free Christmas printables, add treasured family recipes, photographs and handwritten notes, tuck in things you would like to remember, or simply use it to keep the practical side of Christmas organised.
There are no rules for what belongs inside.
It can be part Christmas planner, part recipe book, part memory keeper and part collection of all those little things that make Christmas in your home uniquely yours.

How to Use Your Christmas Companion Binder
You can make this as simple or as detailed as you like.
Print the front and back covers on good-quality paper or light cardstock and slip them into the transparent pockets of an A4 ring binder.
Next, print the binder spine sheet. Measure your binder, choose the 25 mm, 38 mm or 50 mm version that fits most closely, cut carefully along the dotted lines and slide it into the spine pocket.
And then comes the lovely part — filling it.
You might include:
- Christmas plans and intentions
- Advent ideas
- gift lists and present planning
- Christmas card lists
- festive menus
- Christmas Eve plans
- Christmas Day plans
- favourite family recipes
- Christmas baking
- shopping lists
- family traditions
- Christmas bucket lists
- festive outings and events
- favourite Christmas books and films
- photographs
- children’s drawings
- handwritten memories
- little keepsakes from the season
- Twixmas plans
- New Year reflections and intentions
You certainly don’t need all of these.
Your Christmas Companion should make the season easier and more meaningful, not become another Christmas project you feel you have to complete.
Choose the pages that are useful to you and leave everything else out.

I would make this one of the strongest internal links on the page, exactly as we did with Summer.
More Than a Christmas Planner
Although this binder can certainly help organise Christmas, I didn’t want it to be only a planner.
Because years from now, we’re unlikely to care very much what was on the shopping list.
But we might love remembering the pudding everyone asked us to make again. The film we watched every December. The Christmas Eve tradition that appeared quite accidentally and somehow stayed. What everyone was reading. What we ate for Christmas dinner. The recipe written in someone’s handwriting. A photograph tucked between two pages.
So leave a little room amongst the lists and plans for the ordinary memories too.
Over the years, your Christmas Companion can become less about organising one particular December and more about creating a record of Christmas in your home.
Bring it out each year. Add new pages. Remove the ones you no longer need. Keep the recipes that became favourites and the traditions that stuck.
Let it grow with you.
A Christmas Binder to Bring Out Year After Year
That’s perhaps my favourite thing about creating a Christmas binder.
It doesn’t need to disappear when the decorations come down.
Pack it away with your Christmas things and bring it out again next November or December.
You’ll already have favourite recipes waiting for you. You can see what worked last year, what you might do differently and which traditions everybody wants to repeat.
Add another year’s memories and photographs.
Slowly, what began as somewhere to organise Christmas printables becomes part of Christmas itself.

Printing Tips
The Christmas Companion covers and spine sheet have been designed for A4 printing.
For the best results:
- Print at 100% / Actual Size where possible.
- Use good-quality white or warm-white paper for a beautiful finish.
- Light cardstock works particularly well for the covers if your binder doesn’t have transparent pockets.
- Check the width of your binder before cutting the spine.
- Choose between the 25 mm, 38 mm and 50 mm spine options.
- Carefully cut along the dotted guides.
- Remember that individual printers can vary slightly, so minor trimming may occasionally be necessary.
