Gingerbread People –A Must Do Christmas Activity!

Gingerbread Men cookie decorating kit – perfect activity for a stormy/wintery afternoon!

Gingerbread People Cookie Decorating - A Must Do Christmas Activity - Our Little House in the CountryIf you’re a regular visitor to Our Little House in the Country then you’ll already know that I love to make things but I’m not a huge fan of baking.  I love to cook but baking has never been my thing except for the occasional birthday or Christmas cake.  Every year at this time I vow to make a ginger bread house and gingerbread men but I rarely get around to it.  So this year I just admitted to myself that the chances of me actually making either from scratch were pretty slim to nil and so I gave in and bought 2 kits – a gingerbread village kit and gingerbread men cookie decorating kit!  At least this way we will actually make both!

Gingerbread People Cookie Decorating - A Must Do Christmas Activity - Our Little House in the CountryI picked up this little kit at our local supermarket for only €2.99 with the intention of putting it away for another couple of weeks but as we were stuck in the middle of a severe weather alert – torrential rain and flooding – this afternoon seemed as good a time as any to have some gingerbread fun!

By the way the cookies were absolutely delicious and way too big to eat in one sitting!

Have lots of festive fun!
